RIPEMD-320 (RACE Integrity Primitives Evaluation Message Digest-320) is a cryptographic hash function that produces a 320-bit (40-byte) hash value. It is an extension of the RIPEMD family of cryptographic hash functions, designed to provide an even higher level of security and data integrity protection compared to its predecessors, such as RIPEMD-128, RIPEMD-160, and RIPEMD-256. Although not as widely used as some other hash functions, RIPEMD-320 offers increased security and can be utilized in various cryptographic applications that require a larger hash size for enhanced security measures.
