A quick way to copy files in Windows

Created on 2 February, 2024

Instead of the traditional steps using the combinations "Ctrl +C" and "Ctrl + V", there is another convenient and fast method of copying files, which few people know about.

1. File Selection

Open the folder containing the files you want to copy. Highlight them.

2. Moving the mouse

Hold down the "Ctrl" key on the keyboard and drag the files to the desired location with the key held down.

3. Copy to the destination

When you get to the right folder or location, just release the files. Windows will automatically create copies of the selected files and place them in this location.
